God Cares For His People – Apostle Osei-Korsah

The Acting Axim Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Philip Osei-Korsah has urged Christians to continue to trust in the Lord for He indeed cares for them.

Apostle Osei-Korsah said this on Sunday, February 18, 2018, when he delivered a sermon at a District Joint Service held at the Axim District to climax the just-ended Axim Area Ministers and Officers’ Retreat (Apostolization).

Reading from 1 Peter 5:7, Apostle Osei-Korsah admonished Christians to cast all their anxieties on God because He cares for them.

Expounding Psalm 23, he mentioned that although King David had a need for protection and physical things, he still exhorted that “I shall not want”. He, therefore, advised that, in as much as Christians may have several needs and wants, they should know that God is greater than any problem they may have. He advised them to have the confidence that He, who is their shepherd, is able to do all things.

“As a shepherd, the Lord is responsible for the total physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of all Christians. Hence, we must continue to remain in His care and guidance,” he added.

Apostle Osei-Korsah explained that God always feeds Christians with the word of God and leads them by His Holy Spirit to be able to walk in his ways –the path of righteousness.

Referring to the Book of Esther, he explained that although Haman had planned to annihilate Mordecai along with the Jews, the Lord thwarted his plans.

“In this case, the Lord prepared a table before the Jews in the presence of their enemies, and that surely, goodness and mercy followed them afterwards”. He, therefore, noted that just as the Jews, goodness and mercy as planned by the Lord will follow Christians all the days of their lives.

Concluding his sermon, Apostle Osei-Korsah said that God is the Christian’s possession, provision (Philippians 4:19), peace (Psalm 23:2), pardon (Psalm 23:3), partner (Isaiah 43:2), preparation (Psalm 23:4) and paradise (Psalm 23:6, John 14:1-6).

In attendance were: Pastor Sammy Adom-Amanfo (Axim District Minister), Mrs Hannah Osei-Korsah (Wife of the Acting Area Head), Mrs Veronica Adom-Amanfo and all District Executive Committee Members of Axim District.
