The Suhum Area of The Church of Pentecost has awarded seven districts in the Area for their commendable performance in 2017.

The awards, worth GH¢5,250.00 in all, were presented to the deserving districts during the Area’s End-Of-Year Presbytery meeting held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Suhum Central Assembly Auditorium.

The awards were in two categories; the first was designated for districts that excelled in vigorous evangelism, soul winning and opening of assemblies. This was jointly won by the Anyinam and Teacher Mante districts, with each receiving a four-drawer cabinet.

The second award went to the Nsawam, Suhum, Djankrom, Dobro and Kibi districts for their massive financial commitments both in quantum and percentage increase to the Area in the payment of tithes, missions offering and other designated funds. Each district also received a four-drawer cabinet.

The Area instituted the award scheme dubbed “Excellence Awards” in 2016 to honour distinguished individuals and deserving districts who perform excellently in various activities of the church.

In his keynote address prior to the presentation, the Area Head, Apostle Anthony Eghan Kwasi Ekuban, noted that the award was meant to appreciate hardworking districts and motivate others to uplift the image of the Area.

The beneficiaries who were dumbfounded by the award expressed their gratitude for the honour bestowed on them and prayed for God’s grace and favour upon the Area.
