The Hand Of God Is Stretched To Save Sinners – Apostle Eric Nyamekye

The Koforidua Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has said that the mighty hand of the Lord has been stretched the second time in this age of grace to save perishing souls.

According to Apostle Nyamekye, Prophet Isaiah emphasized this opportunity in Isaiah 11:11 which states: “In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the Mediterranean.”

He explained that the salvation hand of God has been stretched through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ giving divine opportunity for all to be saved by repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as a Saviour regardless of their sins.

Apostle Nyamekye said this when delivering the sermon on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the Koforidua and Nkurakan zones Easter convention held at the Jackson Park, Koforidua.

Speaking on the topic, “The Legacy of the Resurrection,” Apostle Nyamekye asked Christians to experience and live by the legacies of the resurrection of Christ which include the power of the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the word of God and witnessing about His name.

He admonished Christians not be persuaded by the adulterated teachings about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ but remain in the basic message as stipulated in the Scriptures.

He said though Jesus Christ cannot be seen physically in this dispensation, by the mention of His name, He intangibly appears to perform miracles which is a reflection of His resurrection power.

During the convention, members of the Youth Ministry embarked on house-to-house and street evangelism as well as float aimed at winning more souls for Christ.

The 2018 Easter Convention recorded a total attendance of 21,381 on Sunday morning. In all, 123 souls were won for Christ, 50 baptized by immersion and 89 receiving the Holy Spirit baptism. Several others also received divine healings and deliverance. There were dumbfounding testimonies.

Present at the convention were a number of traditional rulers. Notably among them were: Deaconess Nana Ataa Nyansawaa III (Abakomahema of Denkyira Baabinso), Nana Akyaa Apau (Adweso Abontendomhemaa), Nana Ofosu (Krontihene Nsenefourhene), Nana Asamoah (New Juaben Asomkahene) and Barfuor Tutu Nyantakyi Boateng (Krontihene of New Juaben), who represented the Omanhene of New Juaben, Daasebre Prof Emeritus Oti Boateng.
