Akrade Women’s Ministry Donates To Akuse Government Hospital

The Akrade District Women’s Ministry in the Agormanya Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated some assorted items to the Akuse Government Hospital.

Members of the ministry, dressed in their beautiful regalia, presented the items to the hospital on July 2, 2018, as part of activities to observe the Republic Day Holiday Celebration. The delegation was led by the Presiding Elder of South Senchi Assembly, Elder Felix Nyarko, as well as the Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Auralia Ahorsu, and her assistant, Deaconess Victoria Osei Safo.

The items, which included food items, cartons of milk, fruits and toiletries, were received on behalf of the Hospital by the Nursing Officer in charge of the Children’s Ward, Helena Amoako. Mrs Amoako expressed their appreciation to the Women’s Ministry and the Church, in general, for the kind gesture.

Exhorting the patients in the hospital on the topic “Jesus Is Our Healer” based on Luke 8:43- 48, Deaconess Aurelia Ahorsu advised the patients to have faith in Jesus Christ and to rely on Him alone since He is the only one who can completely heal them of their ailments. She assured them of God’s presence, power, love, and His ability to forgive and restore them to good health just like He did to the woman with the issue of blood.

Concluding the sermon, Deaconess Ahorsu advised the patients to take their drugs according to the prescription given them by the medical officers in order to accelerate their recovery. She also called on the nurses and the medical officers to treat the patient with compassion and to discharge their duties with the fear of God.

Elder Felix Nyarko offered prayers for the patients as the delegation moved from ward to ward to engage the patients in the hospital.

To the glory of God, one of the patients surrendered her life to Christ.
