Ban On Noise Making, Drumming Begins Today

This precedes the annual Homowo festival which takes place in June.

The Ga traditional council expects religious bodies especially to adhere to the ban.

The usual form of worship should be confined to the premises of churches or mosques and noise levels be minimized to the barest limits possible.

The positioning of loudspeakers outside the premises of churches, mosques and pubs are banned. Roadside evangelists are also expected to cease their activities during this period.
