Bear The Word Of Life – Apostle Osei Amaniampong Admonishes Christians

The Dunkwa Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle John Osei Amaniampong, has called on Christians to bear the word of life [the good news of Christ] and act on it.

Apostle Amaniampong was delivering the sermon at this year’s Easter Convention held at the Mfuom Methodist JHS School Park. The convention began on Thursday, 29th March and ended on Sunday, 1st April, 2018.

The sermon was under the theme, “Bearing the Word of Life” with scripture reference from Philippians 2:16.

According to him, bearing the word of life means believing in the word and following it.  He also described the word of life as the good news of Christ.

“The word of God is Spirit and life, it has the power to save, power to heal, and power to transform human beings,” he stressed.

He encouraged believers to bear the word of life and put their trust in God, because the word of God makes a person valuable, unique and powerful.

“The word of God is hammer to break hard materials, it is water to quench spiritual thirst, and fire to burn,” he said.

He indicated that Christ is the word of God and the life, so if one has Christ he/she has life. “This life is the hope of the world,” he added.

According to Apostle Amaniampong, God in His infinite mercy sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life for mankind and wash away their sins, yet many still live a life unworthy of Christians. He charged Christians to put on the character of Christ and live exemplary life worthy of Christ.

He said since Christ died to redeem mankind from sin, Christians must stay in holiness, lead exemplary lives that conform to Christ’s message.

He urged the members not to be partakers of darkness but walk as children of the kingdom.

Among the dignitaries present at the service was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Upper Denkyira West, Hon. Samuel Nsowah Djan.
