Brewaniase Chiefs Laud Pastor Gyamfi

The farewell service of the Brewaniase District Minister of The Church of Pentecost in the Nkwanta Area, Pastor Benjamin Gyamfi and his wife, Alice was virtually turned into a festival of the chiefs and people of the community.

The event which took place on August 12, 2018 at Brewaniase Central Assembly was graced by the Chief of Brewaniase, Nana Odamba Kowurah II, his sub chiefs and the elders of the community.

Addressing the congregation, Nana Odamba Kowurah related the ministerial work of Pastor Gyamfi to that of a great elephant, saying, “He came to conquer and to restore.”

According to the chief, he has never seen a man of God brought to the town who has worked hand in hand with the traditional authorities to engender the development of the community.

Nana Odamba Kowurah hailed the outgoing pastor for building an Information Centre with the aim of turning it into a community radio station for the people. The chief also commended Pastor Gyamfi and his wife for supporting the traditional authorities to celebrate their festival and also wining 669 souls for Christ.

“Truly, Pastor Gyamfi is man of God. He is a courageous minister of God and cannot be intimidated. He has great desire for soul winning; a prayer warrior with deep faith, a revivalist and an apostolic ministry to Christ Jesus,” he added.

The chief also applauded Mrs. Alice Gyamfi for leading the vision of building the information centre for the community, and also organizing a party for the aged in the community. He noted that the wife of the pastor has really brought changed in the lifestyle of the women and young ladies of the Church in the town.

Nana Odamba Kowurah said God through Pastor Gyamfi saved his life when he became very ill to the point of death. He revealed that he received instant healing when the pastor prayed for him.

He was hopeful that God has another plan for Pastor Gyamfi, who has been transferred to Jachie District in Asokwa Area, to continue his ministry.

On his part, the Catholic priest of Brewaniase, Rev. Father Adu, described Pastor Gyamfi as a true Pentecostal minister who has brought a change in ministry to Brewaniase. According to him, the outgoing pastor had been a great asset to the local council of churches.

In a testimony, the District Presbytery indicated that membership of the Church shot from 2294 from the time the outgoing pastor took over the district to 3099 as at June 2018.
