Christ’s Death Has Set Mankind Free – Pastor Donkor

The Asutsuare District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Joseph Kweku Donkor, has called on Christians to develop great trust and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ since His death has brought peace and salvation to mankind.

Speaking at the opening session of the Agormanya Area 2018 Easter Convention held at Asutsuare Estate from 29th March to 1st April, on the theme: “The Crucified Jesus Is Both Lord and Christ” taken from Acts 2:36 and Numbers 21:5-9.

Pastor Donkor noted that Christ’s death has reconciled mankind to God and for that matter all who believe in His name receive salvation. He admonished believers to forgive one another and practice brotherly love just as Christ died to forgive humanity.

He therefore admonished Christians who are not in talking terms with their neighbours to reconcile with them. He further advised couples whose marriages are at the verge of collapse to forgive each other and move on in life.

According to him, through Christ’s death believers have been given authority and must therefore be bold and fear nothing since Jesus Christ has been made the Lord of lords and has power over all things.

He entreated all and sundry who are undergoing certain challenges in life to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, because with Him all things are possible.

Throwing light on Numbers 21:5-9, he said just as the Israelites looked up to the bronze serpent and lived when bitten by the serpent, likewise anyone who accepts Christ and believes in Him has eternal life.

Pastor Donkor called on all who have not accepted Christ to make a bold step and receive Him as their Lord and Saviour.

Concluding the sermon, he admonished Christians to be bold, fearless, strong and happy in the Lord, since Christ has won the battle for them.

Four persons surrendered their lives to Christ on the night.
