Emmanuel Assembly Community Based Church Building Dedicated

The Emmanuel Assembly Community Based Church Building (CBCB) at Caeserkope in the Kasseh District of The Church of Pentecost has been dedicated.

The service was officiated by Apostle Jacob Narh Affum (Retd) who stood in for the Tema Area Head, Apostle Matthew Larbi Wettey, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. The retired apostle was assisted by the District Minister, Pastor Walter Kofi Tawiah and the pastorate in the Tema Area.

The Emmanuel Assembly was opened on 8th February, 2009 by Pastor Emmanuel Love Teye, the then Kasseh District Minister after an evangelistic rally. They worshiped in a classroom until 2016 when they received a CBCB grant from the General Headquarters to put up a permanent church building. In December 2017, the assembly received a grant from the Area to complete the building.

In a sermon on the topic, “Let the Glory Remain” based on 2 Chronicles 7:1-6; Isaiah 60:1-6, Pastor William Boachie Ansah of Great Ningo District said the glory of God is the most important thing that believers should desire.

Underscoring the importance of the glory of God in the life of the Israelites, he said it was one thing that differentiated between them and other nations.

According to Pastor Boachie Ansah, the glory of God departed from Israel due to some attitudes such as idolatry, murmuring and fornication.

He however said that God restored the lost glory to the Israelites through the person of Jesus Christ who is the glory of God, hence those who receive Him have that glory upon their lives. “Jesus Christ is the glory of God and as many that received Him as Lord and Saviour also have this glory upon their lives,” he said.

Pastor Boachie Ansah therefore urged believers to conduct and live their lives in full awareness of the glory of God upon their lives rather than chasing after anointing oil and other things that do not add up to their salvation.

Apostle Jacob Narh Affum (Retd), on his part, said one thing that takes away the glory of God upon believers is sin. He admonished Christians to eschew all forms of ungodliness and live holy lives in order to always remain in the glory of God.

The District Minister, Pastor Walter Kofi Tawiah, expressed his appreciation to God and the leadership of the Church for the project.
