The Nima District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Kenneth Arthur, has asserted that the fact that Jesus’ bones remained intact even after His death meant that His enemies could not overcome Him.

Pastor Arthur explained that in the Jewish tradition, if one succeeds in killing his enemy and ends up breaking his bones even after his death, it means he has overcome him, which was not the case with Jesus Christ just as it was prophesied.

Pastor Kenneth Arthur made these remarks during the climax of the 2018 Easter Convention organised by the Accra Newtown Zone of the La Area at the Accra Technical Training Centre.

Accra Newtown Zone consists of eight districts namely, Accra Newtown, Kokomlemle, Caprice Worship Centre, Adabraka, Merry Villas, Kanda, Nima and Nima Alaska districts.

In his message titled “Sacrifice that is a Fragrant Offering to God,” the Nima District Pastor who is also the Zonal Chairman said that salvation is always by the blood (through Jesus Christ and the grace of God) and not by works of humanity.

He asserted that the first sacrifice recorded in the Bible resulted in the first death of Abel. He went on to give other instances of sacrifices recorded in the Bible such as the one performed by Noah after the flood.

“God speaks when He is pleased with your sacrifice,” he said. Pastor Arthur reiterated that the blood to save humanity from their sins and its consequences had to be innocent, shared and applied. He admonished Christians to sit under the blood of Jesus Christ for their protection.

The Zonal Chairman urged believers to offer their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God which is a true and proper worship to God so that the world can see Christ in them and come to Him for the salvation of their souls.

The well-attended service saw the presence of the pastors in the zone. Also in attendance were Deaconess Margaret Osei (Deputy Women’s Director).
