Marriage Is Beautiful – Apostle Christian Tsekpoe Confesses

A Lecturer at the Pentecost University College (PUC) and Coordinator for the School of Theological Education by Extension (STEE), Apostle Christian Tsekpoe, has described marriage as beautiful, wonderful, good, powerful and enjoyable.

Apostle Tsekpoe said this on Saturday, April 7, 2018, during the wedding ceremony between Brother Cleland Nii Korley Coquaye of Light House Chapel International, The Qedesh, and Sister Harriet Adansi of Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Sakumono at the PIWC Sakumono auditorium.

Basing his message on Genesis 2:18-23, Apostle Tsekpoe said: “One of the wonderful experiences one could have on earth is a good marriage. Apart from making it to heaven, nothing can be compared to a beautiful and enjoyable marriage.”
It is true that some people are suffering from their marriages, but these people are few, he stated.

According to him, loneliness is not good. He advised young people to minimize their expectations in marriage, saying, “Marriage brings realities in life.”

Apostle Tsekpoe advised Christians to be guided by what they saw in each other before proposing and accepting each other, and work at maintaining their first love.

He also enumerated some tips to enhance a successful marriage. These include looking up to God, studying the word of God and prayer, accepting each other’s weakness, being ready to learn from each other, falling in love with each other every morning and making a conscious effort to remember the positive things they saw in each other.

Apostle Tsekpoe also advised couples and would-be couples to work on their marriage, and never to retaliate in marriage and to maintain the pet names they call each other.

Present at the ceremony were the Resident Minister, Pastor Jonathan Kofie, Probationary Overseer Gabriel Owusu, and a host of other ministers from other churches.
