Buokrom police donation

New Tafo Area Gives To Police

The New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost, led by Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, has donated assorted items worth GH₵8,160 to the Buokrom Estate Police in Kumasi.

The items included a canon photocopier, 3 office tables, 12 table chairs, 6 armchairs, 500-watts stabilizer, 2 boxes of A4 sheet, 2 toners, among others.

Presenting the items to the officers at the station on Friday, April 6, 2018, Apostle Osei Asante, who is also an Executive Council Member of the Church, said the gesture was to help alleviate the plight of the personnel at the station.

He explained that he visited one officer at the station who is an elder of the Church and through interaction, he realized that the facility was in dire need of those items, which necessitated the donation.

The District Crime Officer, ASP Andreas Kordzo Mifetu, who received the items on behalf of the District Police Command, thanked The Church of Pentecost for the support. He assured that the items would be put to good use for the benefit of the people in the area.

He further appealed to other philanthropists and social organizations to emulate the Church’s charitable act and come to their aid.

On his part, Nana Owusu Bempah, the Chief of Buokrom, was equally grateful to the Church for the benevolence. He indicated that the Church was the first organization to have donated to the facility since its establishment.

The Buokrom Development Committee Chairman, Mr. Robert Kofi Amar, was also appreciative for the assistance. He was hopeful that the kind gesture by the Church would pave way for more assistance to the local police.

Present at the brief presentation ceremony were Mrs. Elizabeth Osei Asante (wife of the Area Head), Hon. Samuel Osei Tutu (Assembly Member for Buokrom Estate Electoral Area), Dr. Effah Manu (CEO, Kefam Hospital), the Area pastorate and their wives, among others.
