The Evangelism Ministry of Yennyawoso District in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised an event in honour of the District Minister, Pastor Andrew Adu-Amankwaah, and his wife, Mrs Agnes Adu-Amankwaah.

The event, which took place at the Central Assembly auditorium on Thursday, May 24, 2018, was to celebrate the District Minister’s meritorious service to the Lord and the Church.

As part of the event, there was an up-close with Pastor Adu-Amankwaah and his wife. During the session, Pastor Adu-Amankwaah revealed that he was the Personal Assistant to the immediate-past Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Michael Kwabena Ntumy. “I worked at the Head Office as the Personal Assistant to the Chairman, a responsibility I creditably discharged for ten (10) good years”, he stated.

The interview, which was conducted by Elder Luke Obeng Acheampong, the District Evangelism Leader, touched on their educational, marital, and ministerial lives as well as the challenges they faced in their ministerial expedition.

A documentary of the life of Pastor Adu-Amankwaah was also shown to the delight of the gathering.

To climax the event, Pastor Adu-Amankwaah and his wife were presented with a citation by the Evangelism Ministry in recognition of his great contributions to the ministry and the Church at large.

In his final remarks, Pastor Adu-Amankwaah called on the gathering to remain steadfast in the Lord regardless of the circumstances they might find themselves and do more for the Lord for a crown of victory awaits them. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Expressing an appreciation on behalf of the Adu-Amankwaah family, Mrs Agnes Adu-Amankwaah, was thankful to the Lord and the Evangelism Ministry for the honour done them and extended their heartfelt gratitude to all who came in their numbers to grace the occasion with their presence.

Pastor Andrew Adu-Amankwaah and his wife, Mrs Agnes Adu-Amankwaah will be retiring from active ministerial service on July 29, 2018, after 24 years of dedicated and conscientious service to the Lord and the Church.

In attendance were the District Executive Committee Members, the relatives and the loved ones of Adu-Amankwaah family, among others.

Royal Singers from Dichemso Assembly were also in attendance to enliven the occasion with soul reviving and soothing melodies.
