The Assin Manso District Minister of The Church of Pentecost in Assin Foso Area, Pastor Emmanuel Abugre, has cautioned Christians to be mindful of their attitudes and aptitudes in life since they determine one’s altitude (how far one can go in life).

He said this when addressing the congregation at Assin Manso Central Assembly during this year’s District Praise and Worship Night held on January 5, 2018.

According to him, God has given special gifts and talents to every individual which need to be developed and used to the glory of God, but whether people will progress or retrogress in what they have in future, depends largely on what they do and how they do it today. “The humble will progress to higher altitudes whilst the proud will retrogress to lower levels,” he said.

He called upon Christians to eschew all forms of sin and live holy and dedicated lives in Christ because without holiness, no one can see God.

Pastor Abugre further admonished Christians to be abreast with time and learn to be knowledgeable about the modern trends in communication, because although the Word of God from ancient times will continue to remain unchanged, the mode of communicating it may change because communication is dynamic.

“Be focused in life and work tirelessly towards the goal that you have set for yourself. Learn to be humble before the Lord and all people no matter what talents or giftings you have received or you will receive from the Lord. Remember that, whatever talent or gift God gives you is to be used for the edification of the Church,” he stated.
