Zabzugu Mission House, Central Church Building Dedicated

The Yendi Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, on Sunday 27th May, 2018 dedicated the newly constructed Zabzugu District Mission House and Central Assembly Church building.

He was assisted by the District Minister, Overseer Michael Kofi Arthur, and the pastorate in the Area.

The foundation stone of the project was laid by the then Area Head, Apostle Daniel Nii Teiko Tackie, during the tenure of Pastor Samuel Amoako.

The 4-bedroom mission house project cost GH¢54,697.00, with funding from the Headquarters, Missions Grant and the District fund.

The assembly started by a group of believers who found themselves in the Muslim dominated community in 1999. They started fellowship in a classroom, and as they increased in number the leadership approached the Church to convert the fellowship into an assembly. In 2006, it was created as a district led by Pastor Peter Akabre.

In 2009, the assembly constructed a temporal church building. However, as the membership increased it became necessary to construct a bigger auditorium. Overseer Michael Kofi Arthur who took over from Pastor Samuel Amoako continued with the project with the support of the current Area Head, Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho.

The district received a CBCB grant in April, 2007 as well as Headquarters grant to complete the beautiful edifice. The entire cost of the auditorium is GH¢ 53,100.00.

Pastor Kwesi Nkansah Adomako (Sangban District Minister), who delivered the sermon at the service on the theme: “If God Dwells in You, You Carry His Presence” based on 1 Corinthians 3:15-17, noted that when believers sin they destroy the temple of God, saying, “God hates sin but He loves the sinner.”

The Sangban District Minister said that believers are embodiment of signs and wonders, because they are the temple of God and carry His presence.

Present at the ceremony were the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Zabzugu, Hon. Iddrissu Ahmed Abukari, Mr. William Darko (Zabzugu District Police Commander), Naa Andani Alhassan of the Zabzugu traditional council, Mrs. Lucy Dede Edzorhoho (wife of the Area Head), among others.
